The 19th is a nonprofit newsroom supported by a mix of membership philanthropy and corporate underwriting. Our goal is long-term sustainability to support a lasting future for news and information at the intersection of gender politics and policy.
We meet for continuing education and we conduct mobile hospital drills in the field to simulate the hardships of a variety of health emergency scenarios: tornados earthquakes pandemics and even man-made disasters. By practicing these skills together we can then step in and teach others how to do the same for their own hospital facility.
